Saving Lives and Livelihoods (SLL)

The COVID- 19 pandemic has caused unprecedented challenges to the populations throughout the world, including the deaths of millions of people across the world. ZACH, with support from the Africa Christian Health Association Platform (ACHAP), Amref, and the Africa Center of Disease Control (ACDC), in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, is implementing the Saving Lives and Livelihoods project through the COVID-19 vaccination campaign. The SLL phase 1 project was implemented in 9 districts of Mashonaland West and Midlands provinces. Mashonaland West has 5 districts, i.e., Hurungwe, Sanyati, Makonde, Zvimba, and Chegutu, while Midlands has 4 districts, which are Gweru, Kwekwe, Gokwe North, and Gokwe South, in Midlands Province from December 2022 to July 2023.

SLL phase 2 implemented in Gokwe North and Shurugwi districts focuses on life course immunization and piloting integrated vaccination model.
